Custom Heirloom Wooden Football

We start with select walnut and maple and end up with a hand crafted, one of a kind work of art that is personalized to your specifications.

Anatomy of our Footballs

Side one or "team side" of the football typically consists of the school initials and three or four personalized lines of text.

The school initials are made from maple and dyed to the school color. Some school colors lend themselves to being made from the natural color of a specific species of wood. In that case we may use the other wood species.

Side 1

Below the school initials is an opportunity for you to customize the football with the text of your choice. This text is engraved and can be up to four lines depending on the size of the text.

As inspiration, you could add a favorite quote, the school's mascot name, or other text about the recipient.

On side two or "personal side" we typically engrave the last name of the recipient in a large font and paint the name gold.

Just below the name is an authentic looking air filler port. This item is hand turned from ebony wood and inserted into the ball.

Side 2

Under the air filler is the year that the piece was commissioned. This is usually the current year, but can be any year you'd like. There are a limited number of characters to the left and right of this year engraving for your personalization, or you can simply leave it the default "MAPLE" and "WALNUT"

Below the year are four lines of text, usually beginning with the name of the recipient, the position they played, the years they played and a "Commissioned By:" line where we can engrave YOUR actual signature.
